KKN TEMATIK

Definition

The Real Work Lecture Program (KKN) at the “Veteran” National Development University in East Java, has become part of educational activities as well as community service. KKN-T is a form of learning activity (BKP) that hones soft skills of partnership and interdisciplinary collaboration as well as student leadership in managing development programs in rural areas.

 

Goal

The objectives of the Thematic Community Service Program are as follows:

  • Providing experiences for students to live in the midst of the community outside the campus
  • Carry out service activities in the form of playing an active role in the process of planning, implementing and evaluating development in certain fields by involving themselves in a multidisciplinary student team.

 

MBKM Thematic KKN Scheme

The Thematic Community Service Program is as follows:

  • KKN-T MBKM is one of the compulsory subjects in the curriculum structure with a weight of 20 credits or 1 semester (20 credits received recognition).
  • The MBKM Thematic KKN (MK) course weighs 20 credits, and is taken and converted into a course for 1 semester
  • MBKM KKN Thematic MK must be programmed in KRS
  • The assessment can be done if the MBKM Thematic KKN MK has been programmed in the current semester or the following semester,
  • Conducted in groups (10 people) consisting of multidisciplinary students in the specified target area, based on quotas according to the scheme, and carried out under the guidance of a field supervisor appointed by the LPPM and 1 supervisor from the Study Program.
  • The 2022 MBKM KKN-T that will be implemented include (1) Disaster Resilient Villages, (2) Tourism Villages, (3) Entrepreneurship and Creative Economy Villages, (4) Stunting Free Villages
  • The location of the 2022 MBKM KKN-T is in the City of Surabaya, Blitar City, Jombang Regency, Probolinggo Regency, Mojokerto Regency, and Lumajang Regency

Participant Terms

The requirements for the Thematic KKN participants are as follows:

  • Undergraduate students (S1) from all study programs who have taken a minimum of 80 credits with a GPA of 2.75.
  • Must get a recommendation from the study program.
  • Must get permission from parents.
  • Must get 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, recorded in care to protect the application.
  • Must live at the KKN-T MBKM location according to the scheme, for 1 semester.
  • Before departure, an antigen swab is mandatory

 

Registration Procedure

The procedure for the Thematic KKN registration is as follows:

  • The MBKM KKN-T scheme is proposed independently by students, based on the recommendation of the study program.
  • Students register in the study program by including administrative requirements (Transcript, KTM, Parental Permit, Scan QR Code Peduli Lindungi, 3×4 photo).
  • The study program provides recommendations for the names of students participating in the KKN-T MKBM to the LPPM UPN Veterans East Java.
  • Students participating in KKN-T MBKM upload all required documents via the google form provided.
  • LPPM will select and categorize students in a multidisciplinary manner according to the available quota in each scheme and according to a predetermined location.
  • LPPM recruits Field Supervisor
  • Students who pass the selection must take part in the MBKM KKN-T briefing
  • Student groups are required to make activity proposals that must be presented to a team appointed by the LPPM

 

 

 

Program Implementation

The implementation of thematic KKN is as follows:

  • MBKM Thematic KKN activities are a series of activities consisting of debriefing, field surveys, implementation of activities in the field, and reporting. The total time for this KKN activity is 6 months (24 weeks)
  • The implementation of the Thematic KKN begins with the announcement of the MBKM Thematic KKN registration.
  • After going through the registration and selection process according to the quota, students who are declared passed fill out the KRS through SIAMIK UPN Veterans East Java in accordance with predetermined provisions.
  • After the debriefing process, the student group must prepare an activity proposal with DPL approval and pass the LPPM verification before implementation. (can adjust partners’ needs)
  • Field activities are mainly carried out offline as directed by DPL and partners.
  • The KKN location unit is a village or kelurahan. One village/kelurahan location is accompanied by one group.
  • Each KKN participant is required to report daily activities through a notebook (known to partners and DPL)
  • DPL and group facilitators are required to conduct periodic evaluation monitoring
  • DPL and group facilitators are required to direct the output according to the provisions (Mandatory and Additional)

Field of Work KKN-T MBKM Stunting Free Village

This cultivation field consists of:

  • Analysis of stunting data and potential village capacity for stunting prevention
  • Stunting-free village development program
  • Outreach, advocacy and participation
  • Stunting-free independent village development
